What is a Merlin Gift Card?
A Merlin Gift Card is a prepaid gift card offering access to all of the UK’s best attractions owned by Merlin Entertainments. The gift card can be loaded with any denomination between £5 - £1000 and available as a physical gift card or an e-gift card. You can browse the list of available attractions which can accept the Merlin Gift Card by visiting merlingiftcard.co.uk. Once you have decided on an attraction, simply visit the website of your chosen attraction, add the products and services you would like to purchase to your cart, then you can use your gift card as payment. An order confirmation will be emailed to you, as well as any admission tickets you may have purchased. Our Merlin Gift Card is powered and supported by our partner Virgin Incentives.

1) Visit merlingiftcard.co.uk to browse all available attractions
2) Once decided, click book now to make your purchase
3) You can add any products or services to your cart e.g admission tickets, short breaks, fastrack etc at different stages throughout the booking journey.
4) At checkout, select 'Pay by debit/credit card' and select the Mastercard option if prompted
5) Enter the 16-digit card number on the back of the card
6) Use the 'online code' for the expiry date and the CVC2 number for the CVV field. These can also be found on the back of your card
7) Once completed, an order confirmation will be emailed to you along with any digital products or admission tickets to present on the day of your visit
Please note: You can only use your gift card for the whole value of the transaction. Part payment is not possible for online purchases so please ensure you have sufficient balance to cover the whole transaction. You can ‘top up’ your gift card by visiting merlingiftcard.co.uk.
Currently, this is not possible. The Merlin Gift Card can only be spent to purchase products and services online via the attractions websites. Therefore, the gift card cannot be used in-person at the attractions to buy items such as food/drink, souvenirs or entry tickets on the day.
You sure can! There are so many different attractions to choose from, so why not enjoy a few.
When it comes to spending some of the balance with your chosen attraction, any remaining balance left on your Merlin Gift Card will then still be available for you to spend with other attractions during the cards’ validity period. You can then repeat the process again with other attractions until your balance has been used up.
You have 12 months to spend any outstanding balance which is measured from the day it was purchased. When you received your card you'll have been given an expiry date, but to check your balance: www.merlingiftcard.co.uk/balance-checker
For online purchases, rather than using the card's expiry date, you'll need to use the online code printed on the back of the card. For example, if the online code is 0830, this is to be written in the 'card expiry date' field at online checkout as 08/30.
Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the point of purchase after which point the card becomes void. They are unable to be extended.
However you can use your gift card to purchase admission tickets which can be dated after your card's expiry date as long as you have made the purchase while your gift card is still valid.
We’re so sorry, we can’t help with any loss, theft, damage, non-use or unauthorised use of the gift card, so please look after your gift card as you would with hard cash or your credit card.
The Merlin Gift Card is currently for use in the UK only and therefore can only be spent with Merlin’s UK based attractions.
The Merlin Gift Card can be loaded with any denomination between £5 – £1000. You can also ‘top up’ your gift card by visiting merlingiftcard.co.uk.
Yes, please get in touch with our partners at Virgin incentives if you would like to make an order. The Merlin Gift Card can be sent directly to the recipient of your choice. However when the lucky recipient spends their gift card and purchases digital admission tickets for example, this can only be emailed to the person spending the gift card.
When you first receive it, the amount on your card will be printed on the presentation carrier to which your card is affixed. You can use the balance checker to see exactly how much money is on your gift card: www.merlingiftcard.co.uk/balance-checker

Any issues or questions regarding your Merlin Gift Card can be directed to Virgin Incentives, however any problems or questions regarding the products you have purchased will need to be directed to the Merlin attraction which you purchased from.
I have multiple Merlin Gift Cards and want to spend them all with the same attraction, how can I do this?
Unfortunately you can only pay with one Merlin Gift Card at a time, so you need to checkout individually with each of the gift cards you hold. The Merlin Gift Card is essentially a prepaid Mastercard so you will treat it just like a normal credit/debit card. Don’t forget, you can ‘top up’ a gift card on the Merlin Gift Card website if there are not enough funds to cover the cost of a transaction
However in some cases, customers can get in touch with us at merlingiftcard@virginincentives.co.uk and request to ‘merge your balances’ and one of the team should be able to help.

Sorry, the Gift Card cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash but with so many great places to spend, we are confident you’ll find something fun to spend it on.
No, currently the Merlin Gift Card can only be used online and therefore you will need to purchase entry tickets in advance using the website for your selected attraction.
I have spent my Merlin Gift Card but not received my email confirmation, what should I do?
Firstly, check your junk and spam folders in your inbox as sometimes the confirmation e-mails can end up in the wrong folder. The email would have been sent from noreply@accessoticketing.com
Please do not travel to the attraction without a prebook confirmation especially in Peak Season, as you could be refused entry due to the attraction's capacity limits.
If you have been unsuccessful in finding your email confirmation, please contact the attraction from which you made the purchase from.
If you are completing your transaction online through one of the attractions websites and having problems submitting your booking or payment, firstly please check that you have enough funds on your gift card to cover the whole payment. You can top up your gift card if necessary on the Merlin Gift Card website. If your gift card has sufficient funds, please allow up to 30 minutes for an order confirmation email to come through to see if your purchase was successful. You can also check if your gift card balance has been reduced on the Merlin Gift Card website as this would indicate if any transactions have been processed.
If you have not been debited for your transaction, we recommend clearing your browser history and cache so that you can start again. Please complete the booking process again, adding the relevant tickets to your basket. Please follow the steps to complete your booking and transaction.
If you continue to experience problems, please make a note of any error codes and where in the booking journey you experienced problems. If problems persist then please contact the attraction directly.
As per Merlin’s terms and conditions, all tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you are unable to visit due to extenuating circumstances, you can contact the attraction directly to speak to them about your booking. Please have your order number ready.
Each of the attractions booking systems will not allow any bookings to be made on dates that your selected ticket type is not valid or all tickets are sold out for that date. Therefore, it will show as greyed out on the webstore.
The same also applies to booking short breaks. The most common reason the hotel or room type is showing no availability is due to being fully booked, therefore we would recommend searching for different dates.
The Merlin Gift Card works just like a normal debit/credit card so therefore you will just need to enter your gift card details in the ‘bank card’ section when you reach the checkout stage. The 16 digit number on your Merlin Gift Card will go in the long card number field, the ‘online’ code will go in the expiry date field and the CVC2 number should go in the CVV field. Enter your own details in the ‘customer details’ fields as normal.
Please check the website of your chosen attraction direct for specific attractions FAQ's and Accessibility information.
Please note, if you require a Ride Access Pass for our UK theme parks, these will need to be booked at least 7 days in advance by filling out the form at this link.
